This is an anti smoking advertisement. It is aimed at smokers of all ages men and women. This ad strikes fear into the viewers. It is clearly designed to do this. Examples of this are the use of graphic images and ominous music. An ad like this is ment to scare smokers into quiting. It uses a former smoker who suffered terribly because of smoking, in order to hopefully save other smokers from suffering the same fate. Ads like this one are being used more by the anti smoking organizations that fund these advertisements. This is because these ads show the terrible reality of the toll smoking can take on the human body. I sincerely hope that ads such as this scare smokers and potential smokers as they do I.
