Patriotic ads

Patriotic ads are widely used in presidential campaigns. They are used to show strength and leadership in a candidate. This can be effective in acquiring votes because most voters like to see themselves as patriotic. So they are going to relate to a patriotic candidate. Patriotic ads have a huge upside with no real risk of turning people off. You dont have to worry about turning off people who are non patriotic because they probably aren't voting anyway. This is why i think patriotic ads are effective in any election.
